If you've never been on a cruise before, you are likely to have lots of questions about it. How do I get to the ship from the airport? Are meals included in the price? What do I have to pay for while I am on the cruise? These are all great questions and we've got the answers for you!

Where can I find the best airfare prices?

Airfare is included in the price from selected gateways. Call Flying Dutchmen Travel at 800-248-7471 or email information@flyingdutchmentravel.com. You can also stop by their office at 2245 Montgomery Drive @ Farmers Lane in Santa Rosa.

How do I get to the ship from the airport?

A
If you purchase transfers, when you arrive at the airport there will someone from Oceania to greet you and show you to the shuttle that will take you to the ship.

Are meals included in the price?

A
All meals are included. That also includes room service!

What do I have to pay for while I am on the cruise?

A
Anything in the gift shops, alchohol, sodas and the specialty restaurants. You can also purchse pictures of yourself taken around the ship by professional Oceania photographers. Tips for your cabin steward, waiter and assistant waiter are included on this cruise.

What kind of entertainment is there on ship?

In the Bon Appétit Culinary Center ­ the only hands-on cooking school at sea ­ you will learn how to prepare a variety of exquisite dishes in a state-of-the-art culinary studio under the tutelage of Master Chefs from around the world. Marina offers a hands-on program for budding artists in the Artist Loft, a well-equiped enrichment center, where superbly talented artists-in-residence offer step-by-step instruction in their areas of expertise. Enrich your mind in the tranquility of our English inspired Library with over 2,000 books and periodicals ranging from destination-specific guide books to best-selling mysteries to classic literature. There is a Spa, a Casino, Golf Instructions, Bingo and and Headline Entertainers, just to name a few things to entertain you while onboard.

What should I pack?

We suggest that you have layers for the days in port and at sea. Whatever you wear at home that you are comfortable in is what you can wear when at port. We suggest resort casual for dining as no jeans, shorts, T-shirts or swimwear are allowed in the dining areas.

Is there a gym on the ship?

A state-of-the-art fully equipted gym is onboard.

Do I need a passport?

A
Effective December 31, 2006, the U.S. Government will require that all our U.S. citizens be in possession of a valid passport when traveling on any Oceania cruise.

What do you do when the ship is in port?

A
There are a host of shore excursions that you can choose from. You can sign up onboard, or signup online before you travel. If you stay onboard you can relax by the pool, read a book or just hang out.

Will I get seasick?

A
Chances are you will not. However, if you tend towards motion sickness, you can purchase something over the counter or see your Doctor before you go.
